University of Salford

The University of Salford is a public research university located in Salford, Greater Manchester, England. It was established in 1850 as the Pendleton Mechanics Institute and gained university status in 1967. The university is situated approximately 1 mile west of Manchester city centre, on a 160-acre campus along the River Irwell.
